Disabling Teams Auto-Start in Large Lecture Theatres

Please note: If you have never used Teams in the Large Lecture Theatre that you are teaching in, it will not be necessary to follow this guide as the auto-start feature will not have been activated!

If you have found that Teams is auto-starting in the Large Lecture Theatre that you are teaching in, it is possible to disable this behaviour in order to speed up the PC startup time, if you so wish.

Simply wait for Teams to start up, click on the ellipsis menu and select ‘Settings’ which will open the menu shown below.

Ensure that the ‘Auto-start application’ tick box is unticked, and then close down the window.

You will have now turned off the auto-start feature.
